I wanted to pass on a quick video about Social Media, and using them for Network Marketing.  Three of the most popular are FaceBook, MySpace, and YouTube (and yes YouTube can be considered a Social Media Site).

Tons and Tons of people out there absolutely miss-use social networking sites.  Remember the term “Networking” think of using those sites a big places to meet tons of people out there to network with them….get to know them….meet them where they are at.

Have you ever been spammed on a Social Networking Site????  People hawking their opportunity or telling you they have the next best thing?  That is so….OLD SCHOOL….let me tell you.

Lets get back to networking, but with these sites it is like networking on steroids……and at warp speed.

Social Networking sites have been all the “craze” on the Internet in the last year or so.  They absolutely can help you in your network marketing business.  If used properly, social networking is a  a cheap (free in fact) easy way to attract leads for your business, either business rep or product leads.  Its all in how you approach it.

The key with those sites is that you CAN attract traffic to your web site to them, if handled properly.

I am going to address the two biggies in online social networking here MySpace and Facebook.

If you go to Alexa (an Internet traffic ranking service), you will see that MySpace and Facebook are the #7 and #5 ranked sites in terms of Internet Traffic IN THE WORLD.  Wow!!!  In fact, recently, MySpace announced that it reached its 100th million registered profile and ads about 200,000 new profiles every single day now.

Talk about traffic, and limitless amounts of it.

However, there are very particular ways you need to operate on those sites in order to attract TARGETED social networking business and Network Marketing Traffic.

First, after you register, set-up your profile with your web url. Make sure to include a picture! People love interacting with others who they can see a picture for.

Now, what you want to look for are groups or communities on those sites. Look for business centric communities and JOIN THEM. Introduce yourself to others, but don’t start selling your MLM system right away, you will get labelled as a spammer.  Join dozens or hundres of them on those social networking websites.

Get to know people on there, not only will you learn from them, but once they get to know you and what information you have to offer, you will start getting traffic. Be overly helpful and people will come in droves.  Remember its not about you on there, but about what you can offer people.

One of my best ways in finding quality people to refer for profit is called Direct Matches and it is an amazing tool. Consider it “MySpace” for Internet referrers and I have learned how to utilize this tool to literally refer tons of people.

Business networking sites are a great place to find like-minded people on the internet. Go right here and click and take a look and join , its FREE to join. Why would I refer you to a business networking site you ask?? Networking with like-minded people and home based entrepreneurs is an excellent way to LEARN about the Internet Marketing process.

Education is an absolutely essential part of becoming successful!!!

So, click on the link, look for the “Sign-up” button. Go create a quick profile (don’t worry, you can change it later if you want to).

Another excellent business networking tool is LinkedIn.com. Here, you have networking it its purest form, and you have the ability to be introduced to people via mutual friends. What a great feature!!

Get in there look around, network with people, make yourself known (ok that was really tip #1A, making yourself known). Remember, you aren’t ever going to be able to become successful if people don’t know you are out there. Remember my last note about positioning yourself? This is positioning yourself in the Internet Business community.

John Reese, one of the most knowledgable members of the Internet Marketing Community posted a three part video series promoting his new product Traffic Secrets 2.0.

To put it in perspective, in 2004 when he published his original Traffic Secrets series, they sold for just under $1000 per order and drew $1,000,000 in revenue in the first 18 hours after its release.

The e-mail series promotional series is FREE (3 part series) and is very worthwhile in itself to view. One of his big things he talks about in his first video series is his Web 2.0 strategies.
