I tried everything, pouring over statistics, conversion numbers, lead sources, ALL KINDS of crazy stuff that I thought I
needed to scour over.

I’ll admit, it was driving me completely NUTS.

One of the biggest problems people have is that they really don’t have any idea who their best network marketing prospects are.  When you know this, you have a MUCH better chance of success in your business.

Here is a little story that illustrates this point.

Last summer, I was at my parents house for a week or two vacationing as we usually try to do.  One afternoon, I was over at one of their neighbors house, as they had a golf cart my kids love to play on and drive around.

We were there in their driveway going back and forth in the golf cart, with the neighbor driving us around in her cart, and up pulls a pick-up truck.  The gentlemen hops out and asks, “Hey do you guys want to buy any steaks?’

Out of politeness, we went over there and took a look at what he was offering us, and i’ll admit they DID look good.  Turns out he was a distributor for a direct selling meat company (can’t for the life of me remember the name, but it is a big company here in the U.S.) and the steaks were of very good quality.

The guy went on for about 10 minutes or so about how great the steaks were and how much of a deal we could get if we got them right now……i’ll admit it was tempting, but here is the thing.

My parents neighbor is a Vegan, straight up hasn’t eaten ANY meat in years. And Me?  Far from a Vegan, but I’m on vacation and wouldn’t buy anything like that as I was about 2000 miles from my house.

That guys hopes of making any kind of sale were zilch, zero, nadda, and all he was doing was really wasting his time.

So how does this apply to you and your business?

One of the FIRST things you need to do is figure out who wants your “stuff”, whether it is a juice, vitamin, lotion, potion, or business opportunity and get your offering in front of them.

Those are your most targeted network marketing prospects, hands down.  It didnt’ matter how good of a salesman that person was, we simply weren’t going to buy his steak and he was wasting his time.

Just like it doesn’t matter how great your “stuff” is, if you don’t get your message in front of the right people, your are pre-destined to fail, guaranteed.

Luckily, there is a little thing called the internet that allows you to get your offering (or juice, lotion or potion or biz op) in front of people who are HUNGRY for what you are trying to offer pretty much instantly.

So forget about friends and family…..and trying to sell a steak to a Vegan….
