“Copywriting – Recruiting With Words”

Copywriting, or the ability to write compelling and persuasive copy is absolutely essential to Internet Network Marketing.

The closest correlation to what Internet Network Marketing or any Internet Marketing is offline is that of Direct Response Marketing…..newspaper ads, magazine ads, direct mailings, etc.

Copywriting is the cornerstone of Direct Response Marketing.

In essence, everything you’ve learned in this series is about getting visitors to your website……copywriting gives you the ability to convert those visitors to leads….leads to sales….and downlines for you.

There isn’t a more essential, yet little know skill in Internet Network Marketing. Why you might ask? Because all the visitors in the world mean NOTHING if you can’t get leads from them or converts those leads to sales and downlines.

The ability to write good copy at its core is “selling or recruiting with words”. This gives you the ability to automate much of what you are doing. “Selling” visitors to your website to become leads….”selling” those leads to become customers and downlines.

The first thing you should collect when learning how to write copy is known as a “swipe file”. A swipe file is a collection of ads, sales letters, and headlines from other writers.

The entire purpose of having a swipe file is to give you inspiration on what to write, or give you “brainstorming” ideas. It IS NOT to blatantly copy ads or sales letters.

OK, so let me start you off with a couple of gems from my own personal copywriting swipe file.

Lets start with some headlines to add to your swipe file, after all, this is what will make or break your web page.

The first is a free collection of “best-headline-words-phrases” which I collected from who knows where. Its one of my most used pieces from my swipe file when I’m thinking about titles and headlines.

Next is the 100 Greatest Headlines Ever Written by Jay Abraham, a true offline copywriting genius. Again, click on the link, go to the page and “swipe” it.

If your looking for a commercial swipe file to buy, this one is a killer. Headline Tips is a collection of over 1000 headlines from all markets. Its quite useful.

Third is a HUGE list collection of sales letters collected by Agora Financial, who work with some of the BEST copywriters in the world. Again, click on the link, download it to your hard drive, or better yet, print it off and read them to get in the copywriting groove.

Go get the letters here:  Click Here

Warning: The Agora Sales Letters is a HUGE file.  Enjoy ;)

For more than just headlines, I often read….gasp…another blogger. CopyBlogger.com is an awesome resource with TONS of tips, hints and suggestions on how to write compelling copy.

Another great copywriter is at BenSettle.com . Just reading his emails and blog have provided me with tons FREE advice on both writing compelling copy and marketing. Do yourself a favor, go to his site, sign up for his newsletter.

Free stuff is great, and is a basis for a solid copywriting education. However, there are times when a concise book with systematic step-by-step instruction.

Here are two cheap gems:

The Ultimate Sales Letter – By Dan Kennedy

An awesome step-by-step tutorial on how to write effective compelling letters…that sell for you.

The Online Copywriters Handbook – By Robert Bly

Everything You Need to Know to Write Electronic Copy That Sells

There you are….tons of good stuff to get your started recruiting with words.
