Interestingly enough, many people who venture into Internet Network Marketing seem to have many preconceived notions about how things are supposed to be conducted when you grow your business online.  Many people seem to have a false impression about what it takes and how to present yourself in order to be successful.

So, here it goes , 3 things that you need to know about internet network marketing that you’ve probably never heard before.

 

1) You have to learn some skills in order to be successful.  So true here.  Much like offline marketing, learning to invite (bleh), present your business, or phone dialing, etc, you are going to have to learn some hard skills here.  Here is a quick punch list:

- Learn traffic generation – Whether it is free leads from search engines, paid traffic strategies, or social media marketing, you are going to have to learn how to generate traffic and in turn leads to your webpages.

- Learn Direct Response Marketing – Yep, you’ve gotta learn the basics of an offer, how to make an offer, features vs benefits, and in general how to SELL with the written or verbal word.

- Be a leader – People are looking for leaders to join, not just “another opportunity” to take a look at.  Opportunities are literally clicks away right now online, whether it is offering your services, another MLM, or internet marketing.  Give them something to join, not just another possibility.

2) It is going to take a lot of work. Again, very true.  You do have alot of leverage and reach by utilizing the internet, but particularly in the beginning, it is going to take a TON of work to learn how to create it and properly use it.

 

3) Fake Gooroos and systems abound online.  There, I said it.  It is so true and an unfortunate fact, but many who “teach” attraction marketing are beginners themselves and have no background to teach others to do the same.  Some even try to position themselves as “goros” and experts without ever having made a dime online.  A system is a good start, but ultimately only as good as the person using it.

Instead focus on the benefits of working with you, your team, and whatever training you are offering.  If you are involved with a successful upline, emphasize that, or whatever it is you are offering.

Match up the benefits very specifically with the people who are looking for those benefits…..very important if you are looking to market your products as well.

I mean…..how are you going to teach people how to make $$ somehow without ever having made any $$ yourself?
