How To Start An Online MLM. I recently received an email from a subscriber of mine who asked this exact question. Let me begin by saying what he asked. I am paraphrasing here, but this is a very important point. There is so much information out there, it is often confusing exactly how to start!
He said, “I’ve read through your information, and it makes sense, but am confused as to where to start. I am have my own MLM, and am looking to bring it online.” This person had a generic version of a landing page which he bought from someone previously, using the Magnetic Sponsoring funded proposal system
Here was my advice to him.
Let me first break this down to its most basic level. If you are to do any kind of internet MLM, then you need three basic things: a website, an offer, and a way to “drive traffic” to your web page. Incorporating your MLM into the mix and building rapport will come later, but when you start out, you need these three things.
What i always tell absolute beginners is that in the beginning they should concentrate on learning how to get people to a website that does the work for you. The “getting people to your site” part is referred to as driving traffic. The more targeted traffic, the better. The great thing about Magnetic Sponsoring is that takes care of the website and the offer for you, and you can concentrate on one thing at a time.
Since you’ve already purchased some of the Magnetic Sponsoring (MS) course work, you already have the particular kind of web page you need to start off with, known as a squeeze page. This page will be where you “drive traffic” to. Ultimately, you are going to need your own unique, squeeze page with information about you on it, but use the MS page until you get the hang of getting people to your page and having them opt-in. There are things that you can do to make your website name a little more unique, but we can get into that a little later.
Your “offer” in this case is the MS course work…..we can worry about how to incorporate your MLM into the mix later.
So, now that you have a web page……you need to get people to it, or “drive traffic” to it. The best way free way to get started is to go visit forums, in particular those related to MLM. You will need to set-up something known as a signature file for a forum. I explain how to set-up a signature file in the ebook I sent.
Don’t put messages on the forum about your opportunity. The key is to interact and provide value on the forum. If you provide value on the forums by posting comments, people will be curious about you and what you have to offer, and go to your website. Make sense? A great forum to start on is MLM.com

Ok, so that is how I would start out….use your web page from MS and get traffic to it from forums. Forums are also a great place to learn about marketing and internet MLM. No, you have not introduced people to your own MLM……yet…..but one must
There are many many other ways to get traffic to a website, and to be honest, most are more efficient than going on forums: like writing articles, making videos, creating blogs, and of course pay-per-click advertising, but I would start out there first to get a handle on how to drive traffic to a web site. One step at a time, remember?
The key here is one step at a time…..One thing at a time. Master one step at a time and keep at it. Online MLM is an awesome way to really grow your business vastly

Sometimes doing all which is necessary still doesn’t cut it. but you keep trying….
I have to say that I expected a little bit of a different post from the direction that this one went. You did a great job describing how one would use a funded proposal to build a list and make money in the process but yet didn’t answer the question itself.

Ahhh, remember that in the beginning, people tend to get very confused as to how to even start online.
Until they can get their mind around the concepts of driving internet traffic and monetizing that traffic, its best to break it down into as simple a process as possible. Focus on mastering one thing at a time and it will eventually build into a full internet mlm business.

I think what Kurt has done is to emphasise on the basics of driving traffic to the website. Whether it is MLM or not, the purpose of having a site is to get noticed. Traffic can be organic, from search engines or social bookmarks but if people do not search to buy, they will not buy even if they arrive on the website.

I absolutely agree that internet network marketing with online forums is a necessary tactic to employ in lead generation. In fact, I have used internet network marketing and online forums to earn over $1,000,000 online in less than 18 months, so I know for a FACT that it works… but you have to put it to work for you!
