Now onto the second half of how to get free traffic to your MLM website or piece of MLM content that we talked about in the previous video.
The first part talked about what you can actually do ON your website, but this part is going to focus on what you can do off your website to help get that free traffic we are talking about.
Here is a quick video on getting links and traffic for you and your internet network marketing business:
Getting links back to your website is crucial to increasing the traffic to your piece of content that you have published.
What I mean by a “link” is having other websites, or pieces of content from all over the internet pointing back to your website. The actual link is something known as a hyperlink from another website.
A special kind of link is the best kind to have, and this is referred to as anchor text in that link. OK, follow along with me here.
Having something linked from another website with a link like this is fine:
http://NewSchoolNetworkMarketingBlog.com
It will establish a physical link to your website, but this is even better:
The “MLM Training Blog” is known as keyword specific anchor text…..and adds relevancy back to the page where it links to for the keywords “MLM Training Blog”
So, a great way to get backlinks (if this is the keyword I chose) is to get tons of links pointing back to my webpage or piece of content with the text “MLM Training Blog” as a hyperlink.
What search engines see is that your particular piece of content has a bunch of links pointing to it…but more importantly links about “MLM Training Blog”…therefore, the page they are linking to must be important and have good content about “MLM Training Blog”
This passes something known as “relevancy” for that keyword back to the original piece of content.
Having links like this will dramatically improve your search engine rankings……for your specific keyword you wrote your content about….. I can’t stress this enough.
And…higher search engine rankings means more free traffic and leads from that keyword.
Making sense?
Now there are tons of places to get “backlinks” to your content. Here is a quick listing:
- Social Book Marking Sites (to name a few):
Stumble Upon
Digg
Delicious
- Hubpages
- Forums (One of my personal favorites)
- YouTube
I think you get the drift here
So, you want to get as many links from quality sites as you can back to your particular piece of keyword focused content.
Here is the link to the Page Rank Checker I talked about in the video:

I would also suggest free online directories. There is disagreement about whether these are effective, but I have tried them and they definitely do work.
The best thing about them is that you can target certain keywords in the anchor text of your submissions, and crawl up the rankings that way.
This benefit may wane in the future but it still works now.
Matt Haydens last blog post..Too many dofollow blog lists!
Man, I do love this awesome story. I’m glad I’ve found you site on Google and I hope I’ll find more great stuff here.
I really like the fresh perpective you did on the issue. Really was not expecting that when I started off studying. Your concepts were easy to understand that I wondered why I never looked at it before. Glad to know that there’s an individual out there that definitely understands what he’s discussing. Great job!
I love your take on this, could not agree more.
