If you are, or are thinking about using video to promote your business, products or services (which IS an excellent strategy, you absolutely want to watch the video below for some insights into what NOT to do.
Again, this is the second time (gasp!) in the last year I have seen alot of people have their accounts straight up banned.
Yikes!
Here is a quick run-down of what NOT to do:
#1 Don’t post scammy product or company reviews on Youtube.com Just don’t do it.
#2 Don’t use post promotional videos on your account. (Enter this content and win, for example)
#3 Have your content be genuine and helpful
#4 Don’t have a ton of multiple accounts
#5 Don’t put all your eggs in one basket
(video is great, but so are other forms of content marketing, or PPC marketing)
#6 Youtube isn’t the only video service out there
(Secret here……. Viddler.com has clickable links in their description field, PLUS those links are DoFollow in nature (meaning they are counted as backlinks in with Google for search engine rankings (is where this videos is hosted from))
