MLM List Building – One Simple Step To Get Started
There is a lot of buzz right now about building your MLM list especially when you delve into internet network marketing. But one thing that people fail to mention is how to actually do that. A new person is often left trying to answer the question, “What do I have to offer to someone so they would want to get on my network marketing list?”
All too often when MLM “Gurus” tell you that building your MLM lists is key to your online success, they talk about using things like squeeze pages, auto-responders, driving targeted network marketing traffic, and other associated things like that. But again, the total newbie is left with the question, why would someone be interested in what I have to offer.
First of all, you need to put this kind of thinking out of your mind, its very self-destructive and self-fulfilling. You need to have the attitude that people should be lucky to be on your MLM list as you have a ton of value to offer.
OK, so at its core anything you do in business is really an exchange in value. If you were in the health and wellness network marketing business, people give you money in exchange for your beneficial product. Building your MLM list is no different.
You need to offer them something in exchange for doing into your MLM list via a website or landing page.
Even if you have never recruited a sould into your business nor sold any of your product, you can still build your MLM list. What do you offer them?
This is a very simple thing to offer those to get on your mlm list. Taking a complete newbie in mind, at least you know what doesn’t work in your business right?
You can write a quick two or three page report on what not to do to grow your network marketing business. Title it something like this, ” 3 Biggest Mistakes Every Network Marketer Makes And What To Do To Avoid Them”. Give that out as your bait for people to get on your MLM list.
Surely you’ve done things that were a mistake in your home business right? Here is a quick list of mistakes: buying leads, putting out flyers in parking lots, being pushy with family and friends. Something like that is a huge bait for growing your list.
You see, people are movitated by either pain or pleasure. What you are offering for people to go on your MLM list is how to avoid those pains we just mentioned. Its a curiosity driven item and people will always want to know what mistakes to avoid. If you’ve bought leads, tell them not to do it, and that they need to generate leads online. Something like that.
Write your short report and offer it to people to get on your MLM list. Then start emailing people on your list every couple days and start building relationship with your potential network marketing business builders.

Nice post, Kurt, and your blog has a great look and feel. I think the point you made at the top is huge. We may look at ‘Gurus’ and think ‘Wow, how can I compete if those people are giving out content?’ But we can always add value. To a newbie, our more basic ‘how-to’ information can be far more useful than a Guru talking about ‘OTOs’, ‘Halo sites’ or JVs. Someone who knows less than us will lap up our content if we give it with a mindset of genuinely wanting to offer help. Way to go, Kurt!
