This is absolutely one of the most powerful ways to conduct your business and to go about your network marketing lead generation efforts.

Here is the formula.  offer some kind of low-cost information product, whether it is related to your products or business opportunity as an up front door to your network marketing lead generation efforts.  This is more commonly known in the industry as a funded proposal.

Once you’ve qualified those prospects through your network marketing lead generation as buyers, go ahead and offer them an upsell of either your product or business opportunity.

You see this tactic of network marketing lead generation in the offline world as well. Especially true in nutritional MLMs, people offer expositions or training on womens or childrens nutrition and charge a small fee for admission.

Those smart network marketers, give useful information in the presentation and then simply offer their product at the back door on the way out.

More established people use this method of network marketing lead generation to offer books, CDs or other products in order to further monetize those leads.

This is truly one of the most used models of network marketing lead generation, but used by all businesses of all types.

In general business terms, when you get it right, it becomes a self-liquidating offer and you can even make a ton of money off of it when you go above and beyond with it.

Lets go throught the math here for a funded proposal.

So, for every 100 leads that you get online, maybe 1 or 2 join your network marketing opportunity.  Now, lets say that you get a fast start bonus of $100 for ever person that joins you in your business.  One member in your downline equals $100, so the marketing math behind it means that you can afford to spend $1 for every one of those 100 leads and still break even.

Now, lets incorporate the funded proposal into our marketing.  Here is where most people in internet network marketing fail.  Far too often they only refer things like training products to their subscribers on their list.  There are far easier ways to earn cash in your business.

Lets take the funded proposal concept to a general sense of just making money in your business.  Its like a sliding scale, with the easier money, which requires the least resistance on one end, and the harder to earn money on the other end.  The hardest money to earn in your business is absolutely building a downline which produces residual income.

So what other ways can you earn money in your business before you even begin to build a downline through the funded proposal concept?

Here is a quick list of things, listed from the easiest, least resistance to harder, most resistance ones.

- Google Adsense on your website

- Introducing CPA offers to your subscriber list

- Using free trial offers and recommending them to your list.

- Reviewing lost cost affiliate products for your list which will help them grow your own business

- Market your own information products to your list of subscribers

- Market your own home business opportunity to your list of subscribers.

You see, when you look at the funded proposal concept in a general sense, you can earn money far quicker doing the first 5 items on this list.  Then you can funnel the earnings from that into marketing for more leads so you get more exposure for your primary objective, which is building your primary network marketing business.

Funded Proposals

Let me define a funded proposal, and what you use it for.  I need to frame this first.  Approximately 98% of the people you contact through your marketing efforts will not join your primary MLM or Network Marketing Business.  Its just a fact.  No need to worry over it, no need to fret, just a fact. You need to get over the fact that people will not want to join you in your opportunity.

So, we need a way to earn money up front quickly.  The best way to do this is to earn money off of those that don’t join your primary MLM program.

The way to do this is through something known as a funded proposal.  There are two ways that a funded proposal works.

You can sell something like an e-book or a marketing system to them that generates money off of the initial sale.  There are many well planned out marketing systems out there.

Otherwise, you can refer people to things of value to them, things that they actually need to be successful. You do this thru your auto-responder e-mail series.   In the process of doing this, you are helping those people out, and when they subscribe to what you are referring them to, you earn a commission off of that.

You MUST have some kind of funded proposal program or else you will run out of advertising money before you really get going! Trust me, it is MUCH easier to sell a funded proposal program then your network marketing opportunity. The way you are going to set-up your funded proposal will be on auto-pilot as well. Just think of a steady stream of $$ to FUND your advertising for you network marketing opportunity.

What a funded proposal does for you is provide much needed cash in order to PAY for your advertising. It is not necessarily intended as a revenue stream in itself, but it can be. Personally, I use the money I generate from my funded proposal programs in order further fund my advertising. Its like a self-fulfilling spiral of money you keep generating over and over again and it gets bigger the more you advertise.

I will warn you though, if you create your own funded proposal, it had better be good. It had better be worth more money then you are charging for it.
