I was talking with a local small business the other day, and actually doing some consulting with them and a little light bulb went off for me in my own business and how to generate local network marketing leads.

In fact the very first business builder I recruited for my own opportunity through internet network marketing was someone who was literally down the street and wanted to join my company but was just LOOKING for the right person.

So, like the video said, one of the first steps to get listed in the “7 pack” as local search engine marketers call it is to list your business somewhere called Google Places.

Like I said this was a major “light bulb” for me and how EASY it would be to get to the top of the listings there, just like local businesses do each and every day.

In fact, there is virtually ZERO competition for this and is a dead stone simple way to get your network marketing business listed at the top of search engines when people go looking to join the right person in your business.

You absolutely want to position yourself as THE CHOICE locally for your business, particularly if you are in one of the larger companies.

McDonald’s is one of the more really brilliant business models anywhere online or off-line and you would be missing out if you weren’t trying to model how they do their business. The fact is they know more about network marketing lead generation and most network marketers do.

McDonald’s gets people in their door by offering a low-cost product and selling it to people whether a happy mean or dollar menu item. This is very similar to network marketing lead generation where you get qualified prospects and people in the door for a very low cost.

They qualify those people by making sure that they go ahead and actually purchase something and then they go ahead and upsell them whether it is a large so large fry, large coke,  or whatever it is.

This is absolutely one of the most powerful ways to conduct your business and to go about your network marketing lead generation efforts.

Here is the formula.  offer some kind of low-cost information product, whether it is related to your products or business opportunity as an up front door to your network marketing lead generation efforts.  This is more commonly known in the industry as a funded proposal.

Once you’ve qualified those prospects through your network marketing lead generation as buyers, go ahead and offer them an upsell of either your product or business opportunity.

You see this tactic of network marketing lead generation in the offline world as well. Especially true in nutritional MLMs, people offer expositions or training on womens or childrens nutrition and charge a small fee for admission.

Those smart network marketers, give useful information in the presentation and then simply offer their product at the back door on the way out.

More established people use this method of network marketing lead generation to offer books, CDs or other products in order to further monetize those leads.

This is truly one of the most used models of network marketing lead generation, but used by all businesses of all types.
