Boost Your Productivity In Network Marketing

One thing that most never hear talked about in any kind of internet network marketing training is how to boost your productivity.

I know, you’ll hear about “making a list” and “really really really” getting serious, you know, the whole motivational thing.

But what about really being more productive?

Especially if you are looking to be build your business online, one thing will eventually become essential, and that is outsourcing.

Outsourcing? What is that you ask?

It’s like creating little Mini-Me versions of you to go out and do all the grunt work for you cheaply.

These are where you can go get little “Mini-Me” versions of you to go out and do all the grunt work for you.

Elance.com – On this place, you can get just about anything imaginable done. Just sign-in for a free account, and place a job “bid” out there. You will be very surprised at how many bids you get for any particular job.

Textbroker.com – I get ALOT of my content written from this place. Not for this site, but for many other niches, plus my SEO clients. They have varying levels of content you can have written, and will write about anything under the sun. For anything that actually goes on your site, I’d recommend a 4-start article.

I know, i know….all the “attraction marketing ‘gooroos’” talk about branding yourself and writing your own content. For a site like this, that is great, but for a site you are building for straight up lead generation using keywords or SEO, just outsource it, or you’ll drive yourself crazy.

Fiverr.com – As funny as it sounds, you will find thousands of people who will do anything, all of them offering it for $5. You can actually get quite a bit of marketing done by people on there who are eager to work. Some of the stuff on there is downright hilarious that they will do, but, if you are looking for a particular service done cheaply, this is a virtual bizzar of mini-job seekers.

Now, one thing to keep in mind, particularly with Elance.com and Fiverr.com is that you need to do your diligence and read peoples reviews before committing to them. The quality of the work on there does vary, and I usually need to try out 2 or 3 people until I find one that does decent work for what I want them to do.

Best Way To Get Started In Internet Network Marketing

A couple of weeks ago, I was being interviewed by someone in our field and they asked what I consider an awesome question, “What Is The Best Way/Method or Technique To Get Started Generating Leads In Internet Network Marketing?”

Now let me tell you a little story about how I got started online (yep, long time ago).

You see, I had a blog (not this one) and focused on every “free” traffic and lead generation strategy I could get my hands on.

Everything from hanging out on 20 different social media sites, sending endless different “friend requests”, click click clicking away on sites such as traffic exchanges, to going to other marketers websites and posting endless comments on their blogs.

There is alot of talk, especially among “GooRoo’s” in the industry about how you should be paying for traffic for leads with things like Adwords, or Yahoo, or even going the route of putting newsletter ads on ezines together.

Even more popular are Social Media techniques on places like Facebook or MySpace or Twitter.

However, for the life of me, I couldn’t get an “real” targeted traffic without completely blowing my wallet out of the water.

Perhaps you have been through the same thing?

So, in the interview, the person asked an awesome question “What is the best way for a brand new person to get started in internet network marketing?”

Here is what I laid out for her, basically three strategies:

1) Content creation and distribution. Things like article marketing are the most important ways to do this.

2) Video creation and distribution.

3) Search Engine Optimization.

Not nearly as hard as it sounds, but it is really the only way for those of us in the internet network marketing field to get access to those leads that are on the biggest search engine of them all, Google.

There are other free strategies such as social media marketing, forum participation, etc that work, but that’s my take what is best for those looking to break into online network marketing.

The Next Big Thing In Network Marketing….

I was reading an email the other day that really got me thinking about the certain psychology of many of us in network marketing and internet network marketing how it is so destructive to actually building a long term business.

You see, when someone starts a brick and mortar business, they generally have a clear vision of what they want to accomplish, not just to make money, or “give it a try” so to speak.

While many businesses fail over the short term, they don’t jump from business to business month after month thinking that “this one will be the one” or that they will have better luck with “another company”, like we do in network marketing.

It is a far too common occurrance for many of us in this field to think that success is external from us…to think that they just “need to get with a great company”, or sign-up under a successful sponsor…and THEN they will finally achieve success.

You see, true success comes from within, and our own determination and will not fail that will grow your business, not some fancy new company, or the next big thing in network marketing.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen people jump from opportunity to opportunity because they thought it was “hot” and “ground floor” and completely abandon all the work that they had done with their previous company.

There are quite a few associates of mine who have actively tried to recruit me into no less than three separate opportunities in the last year or so, simply because they had moved onto another one and thought that this one was “it”.

Even if you learn how to generate leads for yourself with internet network marketing, you’ll find that is really only one piece of the puzzle, not the complete picture. Although, I’d argue that it is much more leveraged and you can go out and touch many many more people using the tools of this particular sub industry than others.

So really, what I am saying here is to go ahead and invest in yourself and give one single opportunity a legitimate try for at least a year and see how it goes for you. You’ll find that stick-to-itiveness counts for alot in this industry as well.

Another Network Marketing Company Bites The Dust

If you’ve had your ear to the ground in the last week, you more than likely have heard that yet another major network marketing company, Eiro Research officially closed its doors this week.

Just in the recent past, we’ve seen major companies, such as ILearningGlobal, Success University, and Efusjon either close their doors entirely, or shut down their MLM distributor arms, and go for a direct sales model of business.

Sad, but true, is that this is becoming all the more frequent with dozens of MLMs popping up every year, only to shut down very quickly.

As you can see from their main website, Eiro, it only took two months of low sales for them to call it quits, showing just how close to the brink of going out of business many network marketing companies are.

I urgue you to really think about this, and how you are building YOUR business.

It’s pretty apparent to me that in today’s day and age, you absolutely need to build your business around YOU first, and establish the relationships with your customers with you, rather than simply the company, showing the plan, or handing out the product brochures.

Incorporate multiple stream of income, centered around what you have to offer, rather than simply your company offers.

Instead of simply thinking about what you are selling….think about how you can offer your customers and potential clients more of what THEY want.

Be a true resource for people, instead of simply a vendor for your company products.

So…if you are marketing the products, what kinds of supplemental materials can you offer your customers? If your company is a healthy juice company, what health related ebooks from clickbank or amazon can you offer your list of subscribers? Are there any related health programs that you could offer your list of subscribers?

This would be a win for you, since you will get something to help grow your business…..and put money in your pocket, while at the same time give your customers something that will help them as well.

As I talked about in a previous post “The Death Of Network Marketing, Again?” I see this as just part of the slow, painful death of the “company first” network marketing business model, and acceleration to a “You First, Your Company And Products Second” model of business.

Just keep showing the plan? Umm…no…

You’ve gotta show people what YOU have to offer to them, whether it is in the form of how you can help them build a business, achieve better health, lose weight, get inspired or whatever, but your offering first, and your network marketing company as one of several vehicles and forms of income to help achieve that for your customers.

Network Marketing Tax Write-Offs

Network Marketing Taxes

It’s that time of the year again…preparing for the dreaded tax return.

Fortunately for us, many of the expenses we incur throughout the year as network marketing and internet network marketing folks CAN be deemed as potential write-offs come tax time.

Even if this is your first year at it, you can still possibly gain some potential benefits come tax time.

Now, let me be clear here, I’m not a tax accountant, or specialist and you really need to seek a qualified tax advice if you either do it yourself or seek someone out.

With that disclaimer said, here are a couple things that you might (or might not) have known that can be potential tax write-offs, most have been for me, and this is what I’m gonna bring to my accountant come tax time.

- % of mortgage/electric/heat as proportionate to the size of your home business office. You’ve got to have a home office established for this though.

- Education expenses (like buying training manuals from either your company or Simple MLM Leads )

- Website costs: Like the monthly fee most of us pay for company sites (yuck) or if you own your own blog, the cost of purchasing it this year, and hosting fees.

- Childcare – If you used it so that you can perform your work

- Internet Access

- Advertising costs – Like PPC marketing, or article marketing services. Even for flyers (hope you didn’t make that mistake), sizzler cards,

- Hosting home meeting costs

- Mileage for dropping off products, to meetings, etc.

- Postage

- Cost of product samples

- Cost of joining a new opportunity

- Cell phone or land line charges

- ISP or internet charges

- Legal costs, or cost of forming an LLC or Incorporating

- Banking Costs

- Home office furniture

- Computer costs

- Business meals

- Professional services, like outsourcing or help preparing orders, etc.

- Professional membership fees/dues

- Cost of attending your annual convention or other professional conventions.

I should not that some of these things depreciate over the years, and some are a yearly fee.

Anyway, these were just a few things to get the juices flowing.

Some of the best advice i’ve ever heard about taxes with a home business were this: Never fail to claim income, but never hesitate to claim as much as you legally can when bringing deductions to your accountant.

So, treat your home business like a real business and keep proper records of everything you spend on it…it will help during tax time.

How To Get Free Advertising For Your New Product Or Company

Wanted to pass on my strategy of how you can personally promote any new company product, new affiliate product, or even a company launch for a new opportunity you are in.

This is the exact strategy I used during several new product promotions in the industry to take advantage of all of the buzz associated with it.

The best part, is that its a free internet network marketing strategy and can be repeated over and over for practically anything.

Why would you want to do this?

Because any time there is a new product or opportunity, there is usually a tremendous amount of buzz on the internet associated with it. People talk about it, companies put out press releases about it, and many many people are sending out emails to people telling them about it.

This translates into lots of people doing searches on search engines like G, Yahoo and Bing, and this strategy will get you in front of all of those.

Step 1. Write a base article about the product or service with the keyword being the name of that product or service. Post this to either your blog, or best case, go out and buy a domain name with the name of that product or service in the URL.

Step 2. Write another associated article with the keyword “xyz bonus” and post it on your new site or blog.

Step 3. You are going to write a couple slightly different versions of these articles and post them to high authority websites. This strategy is known as a “link wheel”. For the latest promotion, I specifically used:

Squidoo.com

http://GoArticles.com

http://ArticlesBase.com

http://homebasedbusiness.com

http://betternetworker.com

or site you can use as well are:

EzineArticles.com

Each of those sites will link back to the original blog post or site with the anchor text being either xyz or xyz bonus….whatever the specific name of that article is.

Step 4. Take each of those articles on the “other” sites and “ping” them. What pinging does is notify the search engines that there is new and updated content from that particular site.

Personally I stick with two sites to ping:

pingomatic.com

pingler.com

Step 5: Each one of those sites all have something known as an RSS feed (see the big orange button on the top right of this blog?) Take the URL for that RSS feed and submit it to several sites known as RSS directories:

The sites I used for this promotion are:

http://www.rssmountain.com

http://www.feedlisting.com

Step 6: Take each of those sites and bookmark them, adding link value to those sites. A very easy solution for this is to use onlywire.com and submit article to onlywire.

Step 7: This is really a bonus step here, if you have the funds, this will only help, if not, the steps above will get you most of the way there.

Take the articles you have written and submit them to UniqueArticleWizard.com to be submitted to 1000s of blogs and article directories.

The key here is we are going to backlink both the original article on your site, plus the articles on the high authority sites as well. Search Engines love backlinks and even backlinking your backlinks.

You can do the exact same thing with any affiliate product launching, your MLM company releasing a product, or anything new to capture some quick leads and customers and cash for yourself.

Enjoy and make sure you go out and implement this the next time you see your company launch something or an affiliate product launching.

600 home runs…onward and upward

Got a great email from a fellow marketer Matt Furey which really got me thinking about how this applies to internet network marketing and network marketing in general.

Just the other day, Alex Rodriguez belted his 600th career home run,
making him only the 7th major league player to do so in 110+
odd years of the league.

Now, truth be told, I am no fan of the New York Yankees, having
grown up near Boston, and even less so of an admitted steroid
user…..one has to admit that this is a herculean feat in itself.

One of Alex’s keys to his success has always been visualization of
his goals, particularly that of hitting home runs.

In fact, a short while ago, he wrote the forward of a book for a
noted sports psychologist, Gary Mack, where he discusses this very fact.

How he visualizes home runs from each and every angle and not just
from the batters box. From the outfield, from the stands, from 2nd
base, everywhere.

Why I bring this up is that this is also one of the hidden roadblocks to
success in any kind of business, particularly in Netw’ork Marketing.

Often this is our own first entry into owning and running a business on
our own and there is a lot of mental garbage we need to sort through
to be successful.

Things like:

“Does net’work marketing really work?”

“Why would someone buy anything from me?”

“I don’t know how to sell anything”

What makes mattes worse is that you have nay sayers from your
family and friends.

Now, I’m not here to convince you that this industry works, or that
you can run a successful business.

What I do want to tell you is that I personally got through alot of the
mental garbage about running a business by learning how to combine
internet marketing and net’work marketing and learning a few basic
marketing principles like target marketing, list building, lead generation,
etc.

It’s really not that hard, just learn a few basic skills and you can start
growing your business today, step by step.

What Is Old Is New Again In Internet Network Marketing

What Is New In Network Marketing?

It’s amazing in the online marketing world that it seems to me that what is old appears to be new again.

What I’m referring to is the resurgence in interest in things like Search Engine Optimization, and other forms of content marketing such as article marketing.

Now, just to clarify, Search Engine Optimization, or SEO is the art and science of ranking your websites and pages in search engines for particular keyword phrases.

Particularly with the numerous “Slaps” that have gone on throughout the online marketing world in the online world, everyone is searching for the “next G…”.

In fact, a fairly well known online marketer what I had always believed to be a “paid marketing” guy, Ryan Deiss, just is releasing this week in fact a product on search engine optimization.

There have been courses on, just to name a few in the last year:

- Yahoo marketing (Screw G.)
- Facebook PPC
- Gmail marketing (we wouldn’t dare call it marketing on the content network)
- Pay Per View Marketing

However, an old standby that I mentioned earlier Search Engine Optimization has really come back to the forefront as an alternative way to “get in front” of your targeted customers from search engines.

In my own SEO journey, particularly in the network marketing industry, I’ve discovered a couple things to be true:

- SEO isn’t hard or complicated

- People, even in our own industry, will tell you certain keywords are “too hard”. I even read an excerpt that said this very thing in a very well known online industry publication.

- Alot of the information out there is fear based (i.e. you will end up in the “sandbox”, “they” will penalize you for this, you “can’t” build links too fast)

- You can end up really going down a rabbit hole paying attention to TOO many details.

- SEO does take some time, but not as much as you think it might.

In any case, where to start with SEO?

Well, my advice is to start with getting in front of your most targeted prospects for your own company…..those that are actively searching for information regarding your own opportunituy in search engines.

I always like to think of search engines as what the yellow pages and the encyclopedia used to be…to find information and do research on problems or questions.

With that said, one of the best ways to do this is to “be found” on page one, or better yet, close to the top of search engines for keyword phrases relating to your company name.

What is the best way to start with this?

Before you start creating content, before you start on-page optimization…before you start building links….

A “good” domain name…..one that contains your company name in the root URL, the closer to the beginning of the site name, the better.

For example:

If you were in Amway (as an example, everyone knows Amway)

Get a domain name like this:

- AmwayReviews.com
- AmwayWorks.com
- AmwayTopTeam.com

Now, some companies might complicate things, by not allowing you to use their name on your website….check with your company before you begin this.

Why should you start with a good domain name?

Well, I’m an ex-Army grunt so I can best put it in terms of military terminology, it sets the conditions for success best for your website.

Think of search engines as a computer program (which it is).

One of the first things the search engine bots who research your site will read is your URL name.

Why not give your site the best chance possible, and from the beginning, and get yourself in front of the MOST targeted prospects for your opportunity with internet network marketing.

How To Hypnotize Your Prospects With Your Blog Or Newsletter

It has been absolutely crazy over here the last week or so. I’ve had all kinds of problems with my website hosting account.

Just a word of advice, when you do go with a website hosting, make sure to go with a well established name with 24/7 support and don’t go the cheap route like I did with my 1st website. That makes things painful when everything goes awry.

Anyway, I was just on the phone Saturday with one of my business builders and she had and awesome question that I think alot of people struggle with when they get started in internet network marketing, what exactly do you write about on your blog or in a newsletter?

Now, she is very product focused, and not so much into recruiting business builders, but the same principles apply there as they do anywhere.

She is very new to internet network marketing, but not new network marketing in general and she had a really hard time grasping what to write about on her blog or newsletter that her current clients and prospects would be interested in .

Her initial reaction was to write about how wonderful her product lines are how they would be great for people to use (bleh), which is a fairly typical way for those in network marketing to look at things…..its all about them.

What I suggested was this…

Write about a particular pain or frustration that your customers and prospects are having, giving them information about it, and then in the end tying in how a product or service in your company can help them alleviate that.

You really need to target who your customers are as well.

So, for example, let’s say that you are in a nutritional business and many of your prospects and customers are mom’s who are concerned about the health of their kids.

The way you need to approach that is write something about “common childhood illnesses” and how they are related to poor nutrition and then offer up your product as a solution to their kids getting better nutrition.

It’s really as simple as that.

We all want to read more about our pains and frustrations and how we can get rid of them, so you need to write from that angle, not from the perspective of just another MLM’er looking to make a sale.

Guaranteed if you do it right, you will have people beating down your door for more information about your product or opportunity.
